His Pet

You will have to excuse my grubbiness... but these are camping pictures. They have nothing to do with the post but I figured that two posts with no pictures was enough...
So... on to the real reason for this post. This morning i was trying to get dressed and pick up my room a little so i left the kids in the living room unattended for about 5 minutes... Bad idea.

When I came out A was crawling around the living room with K following close behind her holding a rope. (It is cording from my craft stash actually... little thief!) Then I noticed that The other end of that rope was looped around her neck. Not tight but still...

There are no pictures of this because i hurried to save my baby. (Although in hindsight it looked pretty funny) When I asked him what he was doing he said that A is his pet.

K has been asking for a pet for a few months now... so I guess for his birthday we better get him one or he might kill his sister.

Old Navy

I was at Old navy today because i have only ONE pair of shorts and ONE pair of pants... so i figure i need at least one more. :) They were having a 50% off their clearance sale so i was able to get three pair! For super cheap! But that is beside the point.... The fitting room girl is the point....

As I was bringing out a pair of pants I asked her if they were 100% cotton because i really liked them but if they were i needed to get them a size bigger so they would fit once they shrunk... You would think i said something really offensive from the look I got from her...

"You put your jeans in the dryer?"
"Ummm... Yeah"

Another dirty look.

"I lay all my pants out to dry. They last longer and then fit better that way."

I proceeded to tell her that with two kids I don't have time for that and even if i did there are better things to do with my house than lay pants all over them to dry. Guess she caught me in a bad mood. Then i walked away with the pants a size larger because they were indeed 100% cotton. :)

I dont know why some people dont have a filter. But I now have three cute pairs of bottom clothing! Pants capris and shorts... I feel like a new woman! I even got dressed today!

Nap Time

It is nap time at our house. Thank goodness! Hehe
I went to check on the kids, because I am paranoid and always do that. And this is how I found miss A sleeping. Hehehehe... So cute. Little butt up in the air.

PS... I made this dress. I put a quasi tutorial of how to make it on my craft blog. I might do a more in depth one if people want it. But it wasnt hard. And it looks so cute when it isnt up around her neck. ;)

Christmas List

So every year people ask me what i want for christmas, and although there are plenty of things i want, i can never think of them... sooooo... today i stumbled across something i have been wanting and thought, hey... i will start putting things i find on my blog and then people can look there to see what I want. :) Im not trying to sound greedy since it is only August. I just hate having people ask me and then i dont know what to tell them. So here is the first thing i can think of. :)

Best Weekend Ever!

Well... This last Saturday it was six years since I married the greatest guy alive. We have been so happy together and i cant even put into words what his steady strength and love have meant to me. We have gone through tough things together, but they have only made us stronger. I think that it is amazing that we know how to uplift one another in just the right ways. When i am frustrated or down he knows how to pick me up, or let me stew. :) I know that the future is unknown, but at least i know he will be there.
Here wer are 6 years ago, just coming out of the temple

And here we are 6 years later. At our AWESOME hotel.
Sparkling cider on ice. And chocolate! Mmmmmmm...

SWEET!

Garden outside the B&B

Red Lobster for lunch. It was Daddys lifelong dream to eat an enormous lobster there. Weird... i know. But it was nice to be able to make one of his dreams come true since we cant afford a bass boat. :)

Then we went to the UTah Olympic Park it was SOOOOO Fun. I am a big scardy cat, but I braved the fear anyway!

Isnt he so handsome!

Me riding down the zip line. AAAAHHHHH!

At the bottom of the alpine slide. Daddy was taking it at full speed, on two wheels sometimes... i was chicken though and was taking it pretty slow. But it was still really fun!

It was a great weekend. We forgot to bring the camera to temple square the night before. But we ate dinner at the roof. Our table overlooked temple square at sunset! I cant believe i forgot the camera. A... i looked really hot...a nd B... it was gorgeous! We had a blast and it was so nice to be able to spend time together just being a couple again.

Meanest Mother

I am working on getting our pictures from the anniversary trip uploaded... but first...

This morning I was getting A dressed and she wasnt very happy about it. My mom used to sing us this song sometimes so i was singing it to her.

"Im the meanest mother in the world, Im the meanest mother in the world. Im the meanest mother but you dont have any other. Im the meanest mother in the world."

So I am singing this song to her and i hear K singing from the living room.... substituting brother for mother...

im in trouble...

Tribute to my little Beauty!

So I was transferring pictures from my camera to the computer for the week and I just cant help but be in awe of how totally gorgeous A is. (If you dont think so then you suck and you arent allowed to tell me she isnt. :) Look at these eyelashes! And her smile just melts me. I cant get enough of this little girl. I think that everyone needs someone in their life that when you enter the room their whole face lights up just at the sight of you. K is out of that stage, but its nice to have this little peice of sunshine in my life.

I worry all the time that maybe i have given her the parts of me that are bad. My ovaries for instance. :) Or my insecurities or countless other flaws. But then I look at her and realize that she is so perfect and whatever comes I need to be worthy of her and K, to stay close to the spirit so that I can help them through whatever life brings to them for as long as they let me. Just like my awesome mom. So for today I wont worry about her tomororw. I will just admire the beauty that I made from scratch! HAHAHAH!

Before I get into As latest accomplishment, here is how i found my kids the other day when I came into the room... even though they are watching TV, which is probably not the best ever, i still think its so cute!

OK! So here we go! Not only is she crawling now! Here she is preforming her latest trick, she can pull herself up to stand now! I love going to get her out of her crib and finding her peeking her little head up over the bar.

Kadens Pig Wrastlin'

Its that time of year! Since we werent able to head to Cache Valley this week, we signed K up for Pig wrestling again at the fair. This year he did AWESOME! He was with three other super cute boys from the ward. You can see from the video how he did. I was so proud of him. My favorite part is how proud of himself he looks right afte rhe grabs the pigs hind legs. I just love this kid! They didnt win, but of all the teams in his age group, i think he did the best! He just needed a little help. Enjoy the video!

Kids with asthma

Do any of you have kids with asthma? If so what kind of preventative treatment are you using? K was on singulair for a while but that suppresses the imune system and he got sick. So I am wondering what other parents are doing.
