So tomorrow I leave on our sojourn to cache valley and Utah... but at some point I will be placing my order for chiffon... so if you still want one you have a little more time. I could probably do a few more skirts. You are looking at about 4 weeks out though. I cant sew ALL the time you know... ;)

So I have a friend who is opening a photography studio and she has ordered a bunch of pettiskirts from me. So I am ordering a bunch or nylon chiffon in different colors and since I am ordering alot of it I can get a discount. If you want to order a skirt from me, or just buy the knit chiffon let me know in the next day or so... so that I can get the right colors. :)

Heres my pricing. I have checked out a bunch of websites and I think its very competitive especially considering the quality and amount of "fluff" I use on the bottom of my skirts. Plus, I dont use the satin first layer that a lot use... i think its UGLY. Mine will be totally made from the nylon chiffon.

newborn (8 inches long)- 30
baby (11 inches) - 35
toddler (13 inches) - 40
little girl (14 inches long) - 40
extra long little girl (17 inches long) - 50
big girl (15 inches long) - 50
extra long big girl (19 inches long) - 55

If you want to just order the knit chiffon it would be 3.50 a yard

I used to be a faithful journal keeper. Not every day but at least once or twice a week. Now its a chore. Mostly because I cant write for very long or my fingers go numb. So I dont do it very often. Then my dad was telling me that he keeps a journal on his computer... I thought... DING... perfect. So I have been doing that. I just have a word document that is password protected. Its been so nice to get back to that because I really feel like its important to record my life. If for no other reason than so my children will know me better. So... if you arent a good journal keeper but want to be... try it. :)

New Year... New Me... I hope...

So... I know that new years resolutions are cliche... I get that. And I have never been a new year resolution person. But this year I have a couple. I refuse to put "lose weight" as a goal because that never works. So I decided to make goals that as a by-product would help me lose weight. My sister in law gave an awesome talk on sunday about goals and she suggested making goals in 4 areas, Social, spiritual, physical and emotional. I think that was them...

1: Spend more fun time outdoors. Daddy, and I and the brother and sister in law made a list of all the fun outdoor stuff we want to do this year, including backpacking in the sawtooth mountains and going on a whitewater rafting trip. We will try to get every one of those checked off! (this is social since its with friends and family)

2: Do one large craft project every month. (emotional. for my sanity)

3: Read my scriptures at least 3 times a week. I am not putting every day because I want to set realistic goals and since, I admit it, I am not good at reading my scriptures since I had kids, I am going to shoot for 3 times a week this year and maybe make it to every day next year. Also, Daddy and I have a goal as a couple to get back to attending the temple every month. We did that for the first 4 years we were married and I miss it. (spiritual)

4: And this is the big one... My sister in law is a runner. A real runner. I HATE running. But one of my old friends just lost a bunch of weight training for a half marathon. She inspired me. So Jenni is taking me under her wing. I am her project. :) She is going to help me train for a 5K and depending on how much i dont hate it maybe a half marathon in Logan at the end of the summer. But the 5K is my resolution. (physical)

Today was day one. She told me to go out and run for as long as I could without stopping, no matter how slow i was going. So I thought that i would maybe make it to the end of the block... Since it is freezing here, (Literally) I make a fleece nose and chin warmer thing that actually worked great! I started out very slow and kept going. 25 minutes later I was still going! But I had to stop because my knees were killing me. I couldnt believe it! Im really proud of myself. I know its not much but considering how much I hate to run this was a HUGE milestone. So I am going to keep up with it. Wish me luck!

I will try to keep the blog updated on my progress with these goals. I am hoping to make this year the best yet... I dont know if our financial trials will let up, but I am determined to have a good life even if we are broke. ;)
